What is the Bay Area Polish Group?
The Bay Area Polish Group is a volunteer-run community that brings together Poles and friends of Poland across San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and the East Bay to share culture, connections, and resources.
How can I join the community?
Start by joining our Facebook group, signing up for the newsletter, or attending an upcoming meetup. We welcome newcomers, longtime residents, and anyone curious about Polish culture.
Can I promote my Polish-owned business?
Yes. Head to the Add Business page to submit basic details about your company or service. We review submissions regularly and highlight them in the directory and newsletter.
Where do I post jobs for Polish speakers?
Use the Post Job page to send us the role description, application link, and any language or cultural expectations. We share new opportunities with the community after a quick review.
          Do you host events?
We organize casual meetups, cultural outings, and family-friendly gatherings throughout the year. Join the newsletter or follow the Facebook group to hear about the next event.
How can I volunteer or sponsor?
Email bapg@koszek.com with a note about how you would like to help. We often need hosts, photographers, teachers, and sponsors to keep programs going.
          Is there a newsletter?
Yes. The newsletter includes events, job postings, volunteer callouts, and cultural highlights. Subscribe via any of our forms or send us a message to be added manually.
          Can non-Polish friends participate?
Absolutely. Many of our members are family members or friends curious about Polish traditions. Everyone is welcome to learn, celebrate, and contribute.
Do you support newcomers relocating from Poland?
We connect newcomers with mentors, share checklists for housing, schools, and logistics, and point people toward Polish-speaking professionals when available.
          How do I stay informed?
Follow the Facebook group for real-time updates, check the website blog for longer stories, and watch the dictionary as it expands with cultural terms and histories.
